I had been renewing a subscription to a product, mainly because it focused on AI-related content.
After following it for a long time, I gradually realized that everyone essentially has access to the same resources.
For people who already understand the subject at a deeper level, there is little need to invest too much time learning the basics again.
Training camps are relatively suitable for newcomers who want a general understanding of a subject.
For anyone beyond the beginner level, the goal should be more advanced study.
But that assumes the training camp's content is genuinely good.
Recently, the program removed its cooling-off period—the so-called 72-hour refund window.
For people like me, who want to study new material in depth before deciding whether it is worthwhile,
that arrangement is a very poor fit.
First:
If the content is good enough, people will naturally continue learning.
Second:
If the content is not good enough, it is not only a matter of wasted money. A great deal of energy also goes into trying to recover the deposit.
Third:
Knowledge itself does not carry that much value. The greatest value lies in real cases, especially cases that show how something was monetized.
For all of these reasons, I requested refunds for all three training camps I had enrolled in.
It is nothing dramatic.
They simply did not give me a sense of security.
Instead, they made me feel strongly constrained.
I personally just do not like that~
Life is tiring enough already. There is no need to go looking for more frustration.
Wouldn't you agree?
