I saw many friends writing annual reports. For someone like me, who uses Notion as a management tool, putting one together should naturally be much easier.
First, here is the summary infographic:

Overall, the key was simply bringing all of the content together.
It was not stored in one place, but it was concentrated across just a few platforms: my WeChat Official Account, Notion, and Knowledge Planet.
I downloaded the WeChat Official Account content in a batch with the appropriate tool, collected the Knowledge Planet posts with RPA, and did not need to do anything at all for the Notion content.
Once I gave all of this data to NotebookLM, it automatically generated the annual report I needed.
Of course, being able to finish it so quickly was largely thanks to Notion. I made a few simple notes every day, and Notion Calendar made everything much clearer.
My own day-to-day accumulation was just as essential. Without so much material collected over time, I could not have completed the annual report this quickly.
At the moment, however, most of my notes focus on projects and social media. I have written very little about my personal life, so this review contains much less about me as a person. That is something I need to improve going forward.

Now that I have explained how I made the report, let me talk about what I actually did during the year.

Overall, I did a great deal and learned a lot, especially about AI.
AI improved my efficiency considerably, but I also encountered plenty of problems. My approach evolved from initially going all in on AI to building workflows in which AI assists me, saving a great deal of time along the way.
Here is a quick overview of the tools I use every day.
AI Tools I Use Daily (OS: macOS)
- VS Code (Microsoft's IDE, which can be used with tools such as Claude Code)
- Ghostty (I briefly explored Emacs, but it was too complicated, which led me to this tool. It is even better with zsh.)
- Antigravity (Google provides a very generous usage allowance, so I have been using it heavily recently.)
- Antigravity Tools (makes Antigravity more convenient and lets me switch accounts quickly)
- AGQ (a plugin for checking usage allowances)
- Warp (an AI terminal; I used it to set up n8n)
- AI models:
- Claude Code
- Codex
- Gemini
- NotebookLM (Google's personal knowledge-base tool)
- Website development
- GitHub
- Vercel
- Cloudflare
- Supabase
- Stripe
- Creem
Other Everyday Tools
- Chrome (rich extension ecosystem)
- Arc (I really like its sidebar)
- Notion (essential for my daily notes)
- Notion Calendar (the companion calendar)
- Notion Mail (the companion email client)
- Zed (for temporary notes and documents)
- Eagle (I bought it at the end of the year, really like it, and look forward to version 5.0)
Outside of work, I took several road trips with friends and had a chance to relax.
I attended two weddings, which made me reconsider my thoughts about remaining unmarried.
I also facilitated dozens of Wealth Flow board-game sessions. At the end of the year, I started a related project with friends, which should help us meet more people. For now, we are planning to run it in Nanjing.
And finally:
Wishing everyone a wonderful 2026—
May all you receive be what you hoped for, and all you encounter be what you sought~
